I’m under this dilemma of what to take next semester, as my adviser is on sabbatical and we are hiring a premodern China historian for next year. So with that said, there is not a lot for me to take, but I have narrowed it down to these two courses: Spain and its Empire, 1450-1700 or a Colloquium in: Medieval Europe and Islam. What should I take? I’m open to suggestions as they are both beneficial for a world perspective involving interactions.

I think the class that is most relevant to today's current events would be the Medieval Europe and Islam class. It might help to shed some light as to why there is so much tension between us now.

yeah I was going to, but I ended up signing up for Spain and its Empire, 1450-1700. As my big research area is the silver trade this made more sense.
